We all know that every agency has the usual categories of clients: car company, beer, etc. There is also only so many directions that you can spin the benefits and occasions for beer to the audience. Show a bunch of 20-something guys having fun, joking around, trying to pick up women, and enjoying that cool and refreshing (Insert brand name) beer.
So, when I came across this article, I realized that this could be an inventive and entertaining new angle that is still close enough to the usual beer ads that it wouldn't be too much of a stretch. The idea of being friends with the opposite sex. This elusive idea has been chased by all and had by.... um, well... none. Why not incorporate this into the beer adverts since the target audience cannot seem to figure out how to keep friends of the opposite sex, especially once beer is involved.
