Now the issue is just how to figure out what consumers think about you. I've really discovered an innovative site that can solve that problem for the companies that don't have the luxury of knowing account planning. Its called Brand Tags. Basically, when a person goes to the site, the opening page has a brand name and it's logo and the person types in the first word or phrase that comes to mind. The site then generates a "word cloud" of all the tags that a brand that has been submitted. The larger the word, the more times it's been associated to the brand.
For example, here is a snippet of some of what people typed in when they see Southwest Airlines.

It can give a marketer a good idea of where they lie in the market. It just might not be what they want to hear.
